Mars is a cold planet. Through Mars’ centre, its solid core is known to be iron. Do you think that it’s possible for you to live on this furious, stranded planet? This report will give you facts and information on the planet Mars.
Surface Features
Mars is an ordinary and spherical planet just like earth. Features of its surface is filled with craters that were caused by ferocious asteroids and meteorites. As its own surface, it’s a hot red-glowing planet filled with humongous towering volcanoes, although it isn’t hot just cold. Mars is Earth’s next door neighbour. Interestingly, Mars is an uninhabitable planet with no living creatures. Mars also has canyons that are humongous. For its own surface features, it’s a place to commit suicide.
Human Exploration
Humans haven’t been to Mars, although there have been unmanned missions. Only 18 missions have been successful like rovers, landers, including orbiters but no flybys. Other companies instead of NASA have been sending missions across Mars as well, such as European Space Agency. Next missions have been bookmarked in 2016 , also rovers and samples are being collected throughout 2015 and are on going.
Could humans live on Mars?
Mars is a destructive and disruptive planet, which is uninhabitable for human life. Mars has a weak magnetic fields which allows chances of the radiation from the sun to pass through. The radiation can cause really bad skin cancer for our human skin. Natural disasters are caused through the day and night. As a natural disaster, destructive dust storms rage for months!!! The dust storms through Mars, destroy anything through its path. Also, the biggest volcano (Olympus Mons) lives in Mars. You may go to mars, but be ahead of what's ahead of you.
Mars’s Orbit
Mars is 228 million km away from the Sun and orbits on its own axis. This planet is tilted on a 29.19 degree angle. The way Mars tilts is the same way the Earth does, so Mars has four seasons like Earth. Like how it orbits, it has got a hemisphere separated just like Earth. Hotter summers are discovered because of where the southern hemisphere is pointing ( Like heading towards ). Mars spins on its axis like Earth and orbits the sun in 687 Earth days.
